There are only a few steps to rejoin the community. We've tried to make things as simple as possible because we know us old fogeys aren't all that technified.

Starting from scratch?

  1. Create an account or login. Told you this was gonna be easy!
  2. Go to your account profile.
  3. Click the "Download DOSBox and INN" link -- you'll download a ZIP file that's been pre-configured for your account!
  4. Once downloaded, open the ZIP and extract the files to C:\ -- that's right, we're doing it old school... Just stick it in the root of your C drive. If you want to stick it somewhere else, you'll have to tinker with the DOSBOX.CONF file to change the drive mount paths.
  5. Go into My Computer -> C: -> DOSBox and double-click DOSBox.exe -- feel free to create a shortcut on your desktop. If you've followed the directions above, you should see an old (yet familiar) DOS prompt -- INN will start up on its own.
  6. Are you ready? Wait for it... Turn up the speakers... It's in MT-32! (Booooonnnnnggggg!)
  7. Create your toon with any name you like. Click Play. Enter your website password and click OK and... You. Are. Connected!

Already have DOSBox and INN?

  1. Click the "Download INN LSCI.CFG Only" link -- you'll download an LSCI configuration file that's been pre-configured for your account!
  2. Once downloaded, put it in your current INN folder (rename or replace your original).

Already have DOSBox?

  1. Click the "Download DOSBOX.CONF Only" link -- you'll download a DOSBox configuration file that's guaranteed to work with INN!
  2. Once downloaded, put in your current DOSBox folder. If DOSBox is somewhere else, you'll have to tinker with the DOSBOX.CONF file to change the drive mount paths.
  3. Note: If you have a version of DOSBox that directly supports MT-32 (pre-configured and available for download on this site), you will want to download the appropriate MT-32 DOSBox.conf and LSCI.CFG file.
